Are you a beginner investor or just someone simply looking for answers during these tough times? Or, are you an investor with a few years of experience? In either case you probably lost money in the last few years. If you did not then you're one of the lucky ones. Whatever the case, you need to learn all about the financial crisis in order to prepare appropriately.
Get ready to prepare yourself and your family right now. Try as hard as you can to store food, money and supplies. You’ll need things that your family will need on daily basis. I'm not a doom and gloom kind of guy but things are getting bad out there. Food prices and all other things are very expensive and it’s only getting worse with inflation. You may see certain things go down in price, but trust me it won't last. We see it every day as we shop for groceries or fill up the gas tank so the best investment one can make at this time is buy food. Stock up supplies that are non-perishable, cans of tuna fish, tomato sauce, pasta, beans, rice, soups, toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, soaps, laundry detergent, water, powdered milk, etc. Search the web for sites that talk and teach about urban survival. I will locate a few and post them to our "Resources Page". Search for videos on YouTube and take notes. The economic crisis will last a few years and people will need to prepare asap. People are already suffering so get off our butts and start making a plan. Don't get caught out there like in Katrina.
I say buy things because it isn’t going to get any cheaper to buy it in the future. If we continue down this path who knows what the future will bring. It's better to be prepared, to have food and other supplies in stock for a couple of weeks or months. This is not a joke folks. I don't mean to scare you, but begin to accumulate supplies each and every week. Keep some cash in a safe place, a few hundred dollars if you can. The dollar is collapsing and we won't know if they'll be a run on the banks (everyone runs to withdraw their money at the same time). I would not keep more money that I need to cover expenses in your bank account. If you have excess cash then withdraw it and keep it safe somewhere in your home. Or I would recommend that you buy both gold and silver coins, visit your local pawn shop. Start today and accumulate slowly. Do you remember IndyMac Bank two summers ago in California? Hundreds of people ran to the bank to withdraw money since they went out of business. They basically had no more money. The people were not able to withdrawn until the FDIC came in to rescue them. However, more and more banks are going out of business and the FDIC is going broke as well. Who's going to bail out the FDIC? Where is the FDIC getting all this money?
Don't let this happen to you and your family. Forward this website to all your friends and family. Start getting ready now and help each other out. Do your own research to learn more. The economic crisis is real, so don't think you're all ready for it just because you still have a job. Start learning how to cook and fix things yourself. Every dollar and every penny will make a huge difference.
As I mentioned earlier, I would buy gold and silver coins at a local coin shop in case something happens with the banks or the US dollar. Buy clothes and shoes when sales are good. The department stores are hurting for business. Make a list and check it twice. Take advantage of these sales since businesses are shutting their doors every week. Check out my list of retail store closing below. I'm sure it's out of date since I can't keep up with the closures.
I would also try to spend a lot less and pay off all credit cards asap. Start off by paying your high interest credit cards first. Try to eliminate debt at all costs. If you have a few dollars to spare and are unsure what to do with it, I say pay off any debts you have. Preserving your money will be important in the next few months and years. Please don’t take this wrong, but as the saying goes, “Did you plan to fail or did you fail to plan”. If you don’t have the money to buy something in cash then simply do not buy it. Do not put anything on your credit card, please. Now is not the time to increase your debts. Do not buy a new car, look at the car companies. They too are going out of business. Use common sense and really think about what is truly going on. I guarantee you that once you go through this entire site you'll be prepared and more knowledgeable than having a four year degree. The economy in the US is 75% consumer driven. However, no one is buying anything. This past Christmas was the worst for retail stores, just wait till this year. Let’s simplify our lives and cut back wherever we can. The economic crisis will be with us for a long time.
Again, I’m not trying to scare anyone, but please go out and buy lots of canned foods and be sure to rotate your stock. Look at the expirations dates to ensure shelf life. Buy items that can be stored for a length of time just in in case things get a little rough out there. I’ll be updating my site with more information soon, but I feel that this information is critical to have. So get out there now, take your list and go shopping for sales and please send this website to all your friends and family. Let's educate are neighbors too while you're at it. In the end we all need each other and not the government.
